Tis’ the season for entertaining family and friends. Looking for a quick and frugal recipe? Try this Easy Meatball Appetizer for Holiday Parties! This quick appetizer is a favorite at our holiday gatherings and is also perfect to freeze and serve as needed. This recipe was originally posted on Oceanspray website, but I saved money by purchasing Giant Brand Items
1 14-ounce can Jellied Cranberry Sauce
1 12-ounce bottle Chili Sauce
1 2-pound bag frozen, pre-cooked, cocktail-size meatballs
Add frozen meatballs, cranberry sauce and Chili Sauce to dutch oven. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring until smooth. Cover and cook for 15 minutes or until meatballs are heated through, stirring occasionally. Make sure to lower dutch oven to warm while serving.
Slow cooker Preparation: Place meatballs in a slow cooker. Combine sauces and pour over meatballs. Cover and cook 4 hours on HIGH. Makes 30 appetizer servings. I was also able to freeze the leftovers and use them at another party.
